The class of 2023 advisor is Mrs. Garcia. Mrs. Garcia’s part of a caucasian ethnicity and is part of a family that consists of her husband, her two daughters, and her two dogs. Her academic background comes from attending schools like Jefferson Elementary School, and McFadden Middle School, graduating from Santa Ana Valley High School and Long Beach State University, and for loving science. As a background of being teacher, Mrs. Garcia first came to Santiago High School in 1988 and feels that this place is her second home, and she has loved the challenges of being a teacher here. As of this school year, Mrs. Garcia is currently teaching biology and advanced placement biology, and she advises the class of 2023, the swim club, the advanced biology club, and the cheer team. As a background of being a class advisor, Mrs. Garcia helps with the class of 2023 officers who are Guadalupe Villegas, Lizbet Gomez-Valero, Oscar Villegas, and Brandon Nestor, in order to make the 2022-2023 school year the greatest final moment for the class of 2023. She has felt that the role requires a lot of work but she is very gratified to work with nice groups of seniors, and she has enjoyed watching them grow since their freshmen year. Overall, to conclude a final moment with the class of 2023 in the 2022-2023 school year, Mrs. Garcia’s final thoughts on her role is that she felt like she would’ve done a good job at the role as she wanted it to be back in the 2019-2020 school year.

As a background of being a class advisor, it is a lot of work but it’s also rewarding for Ms. Dvir, even if being a class advisor can sometimes be stressful to Mrs. Dvir, she is glad to be helping the juniors representing their class especially the class officers who are Sara Espinoza, D’Angelo Huschka, Jefferson Xitamul, Daliah Marquez. In order to make the 2022-2023 school year a great school year for the class of 2024, Mrs. Dvir wants to be more responsible, more involved in activities, more proactive, and more participative.

In order to make the 2022-2023 school year a great school year for the class of 2025, Mrs. Heiland will keep being a role model for the class she advises, she will keep being supportive, she will be keeping up on all the things that happen, she will be responsible, and will balance responsibility with fun.
