Brian Khieu, videographer, photographer and writer
Welcome students and staff to my student bio of the Santiago High School purple press website. My name is Brian Khieu, a senior year student enrolled in digital video and film and a twelfth year student in the district. My enrollment in digital video and film contributed to my previous years of experience in digital media being in room 505 with Missus Heiland who taught me for the previous two years when I was a freshman in journalism and a junior in UC Art of digital photography. Over the years of being in the digital media classroom I have learned important things in the subject curriculum such as using a camera, editing in Adobe Photoshop and the history of photography. Not only did I learn the subject curriculum but I also did fun activities while still learning the curriculum such as the teacher jump project during junior year. Not only does my enrollment in digital video and film was contributed on my previous two years of experience in the digital media classroom but also because I have outside of school experience being a first-year Adobe After Effects editor since the summer of this year using the platform as a small YouTuber to showcase my edits to the online community. What contributed to the start of my outside of school experience in digital media was because of my first time visiting VidCon in the year of 2025 at the Anaheim Convention Center. In the future, I plan to expand my knowledge of film editing and mastering my editing skills to potentially work as an editor for famous content creators, people outside the internet and even the industry. What I will offer to our team of students here at the purple press are my best skills of photo and video editing as well as displaying my charismatic image on what a student leader should be for our school. Thank you students and staff for reading my student bio and enjoy the 2025-2026 school year.
