Hello, my name is Jimmy Aguilera and I am currently a student at Santiago High School. At this time I am also a sophomore. I am 16 years old and a member of the Purple Press, specifically part of the film. I am looking forward to bringing unique and interesting concepts to short films.

I was born on January the second, on a Wednesday. I have begun to take a strong interest in the filming industry over the past year and ended up deciding to join the film class my school and Ms.Heiland had to offer. The reason for me being so interested in the film industry field is because of the strong visualization and imagination when it comes to making scenes or video composition ideas. Ever since I was a kid I would imagine non-existent places with non-existing people as a way to fulfill a specific itch on my brain. Ever since then I've loved this skill and continue to imagine such things. Along with that, the idea of making a film that can resonate with someone is something I hope I can accomplish at least once in my lifetime. One can absorb all colors and feels from a singular movie scene alongside the amazing acting and sounds. Making an impact in someone's life and potentially even encouraging them to join the film industry is something I also hope I can make happen. My favorite director and cinematographer at the time is David Fincher, he is amazing with picking shot types and I truly adore his color pallets. Other than film I don't have many interests outside it besides practicing guitar and thinking. For guitar, I was encouraged by many bands such as Pantera, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Metallica. However, thinking is something that I partake in quite a lot. I do not enjoy enforced thinking on certain education subjects but rather why things come to be or how one could avoid something from being. The imaginary scenarios are also something I spend a lot of time thinking about. All of this being stated I hope to continue the path on the filmmaking journey and I hope I can make something out of it as soon as possible.
