Hello! My name is Caroline Nguyen. I’m a fifteen-year-old girl from California. This is my first year in journalism. I’m also in Santiago’s Purple Press, which I’m thrilled to be a part of. I chose journalism since I wanted to see what it would be like and it sounded interesting. I plan to bring Santiago accurate and enjoyable stories for all Cavaliers.
Let me give you a glimpse of myself a bit more, I was born on December 9th, 2008. I’m younger than my oldest sibling by 8 years, my childhood was joyous and anything a kid could wish for. I was loved affectionately by my mother, I had wonderful friends who came into my life and stuck with me throughout all the years. They taught me a lot of life lessons and we always have such memorable times that I would never forget and I mean it. The memories I have with my closest friends mean the world to me, always by my side through the ups and downs. Memories that I and my friends have together are unbreakable. I have gone out quite frequently as I grew up, I have been to France, Italy, and Puerto Rico. I’m currently a freshman here at Santiago High School and I’m filled with curiosity and excitement to see what the upcoming school year brings me. Some subjects I have some interest in are mostly Medical Core. In addition to my interests; I would like to be somewhere in the medical field, like a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. I love learning about anatomy, it’s intriguing and it keeps me engaged and want to know more. Learning about the human body medical terminology, and more is all so fascinating. Getting the chance to be in an elective with the subjects I always had a liking for is so exciting. Outside of school, I enjoy spending my free time with my friends and listening to music. Some of my favorite artists currently are Joji, Deftones, Crystal Castles, Radiohead, etc.
